Yes — a small amount, and we'll tell you exactly where it comes from. The dark chocolate compound we use has a little added sugar in it. Because each bar uses only 2–3g of chocolate, the total added sugar per bar is just under 1g. Everything else — the sweetness, the energy, the richness — comes from whole Arabian dates. No sugar is added anywhere else in the recipe.
Pure dark chocolate requires cold storage to stay stable. In Indian weather, that means higher logistics costs, shorter shelf life, and a significantly higher price for you — for a difference of maybe 2–3g of chocolate per bar. We chose a premium compound that performs better in Indian conditions, keeps the product shelf-stable for 6 months, and keeps the price honest.

A standard chocolate snack bar typically has 15–25g of sugar per serving — most of it refined. Cocoa Crunch has under 1g of added sugar per bar. The natural sugars come from whole dates, which also bring fibre, minerals, and slow-release energy. It's not a comparison. It's a different category entirely.
